Barbara participated in the 2007 National Christian Art Competition and the 2009 NCAC.  With her entries in these competitions, she earned recognition with a Fourth Place finish, an Honorable Mention, and a place within the Top 200 (2007 & 2009). Other events.

Barbara recently completed a painting which was used on a new sign for the Trenton Elementary School in Trenton, Maine. The school mascot has been changed to Timberwolves. The painting was completed on August 10, 2009 and a sign dedication was held September 23. WABI covered the sign dedication on their news broadcast that evening and the next morning.

She was also featured in a nice spread in the Arts section of the MDI Islander for October 1, 2009.
